In August of 2002, Northwest Airlines had incredibly cheap fair to Anchorage, Alaska. For $188 roundtrip, how could I not seize the opportunity?

My friend and I arrived on Tuesday and did some interviews and photographed practice of Rory Flack Burghart's "Ebony on Ice" show. The next morning we took a shuttle bus down for our day trip cruise out of Seward. The lighting in summer in Alaska was so unlike anything I had ever seen in New Jersey. This was taken out the window as the shuttle sped down the highway.
