Photography Portfolio for Michelle Wojdyla
Favorites from the Lake Placid Ice Dance Championships (2003-2005)
(Click on thumbnail for more information)

When Daphne Backman from www.ice-dance.com asked me to pull together my favorite images from the last three Lake Placid Ice Dance Championships for a retrospective she was putting together, it was a fun but difficult challenge.  LPIDC is a marathon, with competition starting at 7:00 a.m. and the last event wrapping up around 11 p.m. at night. With no break. For many days straight. I love covering this event because I love to photograph ice dancers. They make beautiful shapes and pictures with their bodies. They wear bright colors. Basically, they make my job easy. Well, as easy at it can be to shoot tens of thousands of images over the last three years!

I grouped my favorites by themes.  Just click on the thumbnail to read about my reasons why the image was chosen.
